Russound RFR-E5 Installation Manual

LOCAL SOURCE SETUP AND IR CONTROL

Up to three local sources can be programmed into the RFR-E5. These

sources are controlled by IR commands when located in the same room as
the RFR-E5.

Three buttons on the remote control correspond with local sources: VID

(Video), DVD and TV.

From the main menu, select “Settings,” then “Installation.” Choose “Local

Source Setup.”

Press the device button (VID, DVD, TV) on the remote. On the source setup

screen, scroll to the appropriate device type and press the Select button. The
type selected will populate the “Type” box.

Choose the appropriate 4-digit device code from the list in the back of this

manual, and enter it in the code box using the numeric buttons on the RFR-E5.
Press the Select button to enter.

Local Source IR Control

To operate a local source with the RFR-E5, point the RFR-E5 in the

direction of the source and press its corresponding device button, then the
desired control button (volume, channel, etc.).

To return to control of the ACA-E5 system, press the “R” button on the

RFR-E5.
