LEARN IR FOR LOCAL SOURCE
The RFR-E5 supports IR learning when programming the three local
sources into the remote, if none of the device codes provided work with the
sources. The local source’s remote control is required for this procedure.
From the main menu, select “Settings,” then “Installation.” Choose “Local
IR Setup.”
Press the device button (VID, DVD, TV) on the remote. Under “Choose
Device Type,” scroll to Learned IR and press the select button. Press key on
RFR-E5 where you want to learn the command. The display will show the key
name. The red talk back LED at the top of the RFR-E5 will blink when it is
ready to accept commands from the donor remote.
Point the source donor remote at IR window at the top of the RFR-E5. Press
and hold the key on donor remote to learn command and wait for feedback
message: LEARNED or ERROR.
After the learned message appears, the button that was programmed can
be tested before repeating the procedure again for the next command.
