Russound RFR-E5 Installation Manual

INSTALLATION mENU

The RFR-E5 Installation menu gives access to installer-centric system

options such as diagnostics, local source setup and support authorization.

From the home screen, scroll to and select “Settings,” and choose

“Installation.” You’ll see the following items listed.

Local IR Setup

- Procedure to set up local source equipment for IR control

by RFR-E5

Diagnostics

- Provides the installer with a variety of display and button

operation tests to diagnose unplanned behaviors.

Authorize Support

- This option enables the system to be accessed

remotely so the dealer or Russound tech support can access the system over
Ethernet for diagnostics, update or programming.

Default Zone

- Allows the installer to choose from a list of all zones the

default zone to which the RFR-E5 is attached.

RFR ID

- List of available ID numbers for RFR-E5s in the system.

RF Network

- Lists options to join or leave RF network.

Factory Initialize

- Resets RFR-E5 to factory default state and clears any

settings.
