DIAGNOSTICS
The Diagnostics menu provides a way to test the RFR-E5 display and
buttons for proper operation. It also shows what version of firmware is running
on the RFR-E5 and its IP address. Note: zone and source controls are
disabled during diagnostic testing.
From the main menu, select “Settings,” then “Installation.” Choose
“Diagnostics.”
Button Test
This selection tests the RFR-E5’s main navigation buttons. To test their
function, press the remote’s navigation buttons one at a time. If the button
is functioning properly, the name of the button appears on the screen. Zone
controls are deactivated during the button test; no controller response should
occur. The backlight remains on during the test so the screen can be read.
Press and hold Power to exit the test.
Display Test
This selection tests the RFR-E5’s display window. Choosing “all on”
activates all the screen’s pixels (appears dark). Choosing “all off” deactivates
all the pixels (appears light). This test reveals any pixel failures. Press Last
to return to the Display Test screen, or press and hold Exit to return to the
Installation menu.

This selection shows the firmware version of the RFR-E5.
