M12000-16XS-DA modules and two M12000-04QXS-DA modules, the total power consumption of the
device would be: 2 x 131W (M12000-CM III) + 3 x 242W (M12000-48XS-DA) + 3 x 132W (M12000-16XS-DA)
+ 2 x 126W(M12000-04QXS-DA) + 240W (M12010-FAN I) = 1876W In this case, the AC input power shall
be larger than 1876W.
The following table lists the power consumption of each module:

For PoE-enabled modules, the power consumption and output PoE power of a line card should be taken into
account for power calculation. The maximum power consumption of M12000P-48GT/4SFP-EA is 121+15.4 x
N, where 121 indicates the power consumption of the line card and 15.4*N indicates the output PoE power,
with N being the number of PoE ports used (0
≤
N
≤
48). 15.4 is the maximum power of external PoE
equipment, as specified in IEEE802.3af (PoE specification). You can calculate the power consumption
based on actual usage.
The RG-S12000 provides 1+1 redundancy of power supply. You are recommended to use multiple power
supplies for the equipment to ensure its continuous and stable operation by avoiding the impact of unexpected power
failures on the equipment.
When the dual power supply is applied, the type of the power supply should be identical.
System Grounding Requirements
A good grounding system is the basis for the stable and reliable operation of the RG-S12000. It is the key to prevent
lightning stroke and resist interference. Please carefully check the grounding conditions on the installation site according
to the grounding requirements, and perform grounding properly as needed.
Safety Grounding
The equipment using AC power supply must be grounded by using the yellow/green safety grounding cable. Otherwise,
when the insulating resistance decreases the power supply and the enclosure in the equipment, electric shock may occur.
