
DashBoard
The DashBoard control system allows remote access
to multiple pieces of Ross Video equipment, including
openGear
®
cards, Carbonite production switchers,
BlackStorm video servers, and ACID UltraChromeHR
cameras.
Download and install the latest version of DashBoard
from
documentation that comes with DashBoard for
information on installing and launching DashBoard.
Note:
Carbonite requires DashBoard v8.0, or higher.

Connecting to the Switcher from
DashBoard
DashBoard should automatically detect and connect
to the frame once it is connected to the same subnet.
If you have trouble discovering the switcher frame,
or it is located on another subnet, you can manually
connect DashBoard to the switcher to establish
communications. Once connected, DashBoard will
remember the connection until you remove it.
To Connect to the Frame
You need the IP address of the frame to connect to it
manually from DashBoard.

In the
IP Address
field, enter the IP address
of the frame. The default IP address is
192.168.0.123.

Detect Settings

The frame appears in the
Tree View

Carbonite in DashBoard
In DashBoard, Carbonite has a number of nodes that
represent the different areas of functionality of the
switcher.
Double-click on any of these nodes to open a window
for controlling that specific area of functionality.

— provides a read only overview of
the state of a number of important switcher
components and equipment

Configuration
— provides a graphical interface
to switcher settings such as Reference, Inputs,
Outputs, and MultiViewer

Live Assist
— provides a graphical interface to
functions such as chroma key settings, keying,
transition, and memory settings of the switcher
•
MediaManager
— allows you to connect to
the MediaManager web interface from within
DashBoard
Tip:
Click
Menu
at the bottom right of the window and select
to node you want to view without having to go to the tree view.
Status
The DashBoard control system allows you to connect
to the switcher and view status information for various
components of the frame.
Configuration
The Configuration node provides a graphical interface
to switcher settings such as Reference, Inputs, Outputs,
and MultiViewer. You can switch between the different
configurations by selecting the tabs at the bottom of
the DashBoard window.
Live Assist
The Live Assist node provides a graphical interface
to functions such as chroma key settings, keying,
transition, and memory settings of the switcher. You
can switch between the different settings by selecting
the tabs at the bottom of the DashBoard window.
MediaManager
The MediaManager node allows you to connect to the
MediaManager web interface from within DashBoard.
Tip:
You can either launch the MediaManager directly using
the switcher IP address, or you can access it using the
MediaManager node in DashBoard. If you are logging into
MediaManager from DashBoard, you must have Microsoft
®
Internet Explorer
®
10, or higher, installed.
