
High Dynamic Range Conversion
(HDR)
The RGB color correctors are used to convert between
High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Standard Dynamic
Range (SDR). The actual conversion takes the form
of contrast matching between SDR and HDR. This
contrast matching preserves the colors of the SDR
video signal.
Only the HLG600 and HLG1200 HDR presets are
supported at this time.
To Convert a Source to HDR
A source is converted between SDR and HDR using
the RGB color correctors to contrast match the SDR
video stream to the HDR video stream.

Click
Navigation Menu
>
Configuration
>
ProcAmps
>
Color Correction
.
2.
Click the
ProcAmps and Color Correctors
button and select the input or output that you want
to apply the RGB color corrector to.
Tip:
If correction has already been applied (
ON
), press
Reset
to return the Proc Amp and Color Correction to the
default values.
3.
Click an
Enable
button to turn the color corrector
on (
On
) for the selected input or output.
4.
Click an
HDR
button to apply the conversion.

SDR To HLG600
— conversion using
contrast matching in the HLG600 format.
•
SDR To HLG1200
— conversion using
contrast matching in the HLG1200 format.
Tip:
Click the
HDR
button again to reset the color
correction values if you have adjusted them.
