12-Month (2400 operating
hours) service operations
The following service operations should be carried
out every 12 months (2400 operating hours) or more
frequently when the Refuse Collection Vehicle is
operating in severe conditions.
The following service operations should be carried out
in addition to the Daily service checks, Weekly service
operations, 6‑Week (300 operating hours) service
operations and 12‑Week (600 operating hours) service
operations.

Renew hydraulic oil filter elements
and breather filter

1. Return line oil filter.
2. Breather filter.
3. Filler filter.
4. High pressure oil filter.
1. Thoroughly clean the area around the filters.
2. Immobilise the vehicle ‑ (see ‘1.2 Immobilising
the vehicle prior to service procedures’ on page
1‑3).
3. Tilt the cab (refer to chassis‑cab manufacturer’s
instructions).
4. Place drip trays under the body functions control
valve block and the hydraulic tank to collect any
spilt oil.
High pressure oil filter
5. Unscrew the filter bowl.
6. Remove the filter element and O‑rings.
7. Make sure that oil drains into the drip tray for
disposal.
8. Clean out any sediment that may have settled in
the bottom of the bowl and the O‑ring locations.
9. Fit new O‑rings and a new filter element.
10. Install the filter bowl assembly and tighten to
20.4 Nm (15 lbf ft).
Return line oil filter
11. Remove the 3 screws securing the filter head cover
plate.
12. Remove the square section sealing ring from the
cover plate and fit a new one.
13. Remove the filter element and insert a new filter
element.
14. Fit the filter head cover plate and tighten the
screws to 20.4 Nm (15 lbf ft).
Breather filter; Filler filter
15. Unscrew the filler cap and discard.
16. Remove the screws securing the filler filter.
17. Remove the filler filter, fit a new filter and tighten
the screws to 20.4 Nm (15 lbf ft).
18. Fit the new filler cap and tighten to 20.4 Nm
(15 lbf ft).
19. Start the engine and check for leaks.
20. Stop the engine.
21. Clean hydraulic tank and filter assembly, remove
drip trays and clean up any spillage that may have
occurred.
22. Lower the cab (refer to chassis‑cab manufacturer’s
instructions).
23. Check level of oil in hydraulic oil tank and top up
if required (see ‘4.1 To check hydraulic system oil
level’ on page 4‑3).
24. Dispose used filters in accordance with legislation
or code of practice regarding disposal of controlled
materials and oils.
25. Service exchange filters are available.

Change hydraulic system oil
1. Drain the oil from the hydraulic system and fill
system with new oil.
Refer to Olympus Mini Workshop manual for
procedure.
