Using the Store Function
DATALOG MODE In Datalog mode, the validator can log displays automatically at preset
intervals or manually when you press a key. The logged data are
assigned a filename, and these files can be downloaded to a personal
computer using the validator’s RS232 port.
NOTE
Use the P-Display task mode to log reference data. See Pressure-to-
Display (P-Display) Mode on page 5-13.
Entering Datalog Mode Set the Store mode to
DATALOG
as described in the Setting Store Mode
procedure above.
Automatic Logging Setup
and Procedure To set automatic data logging, refer to Figure 8-4 and proceed as
follows:

1. Press the
STORE
key.
2. Press F1 to begin entering the filename.
a. Use ¶ and Ä to scroll through digits.
b. Use © to move to next digit or § to move back.
c. When correct name is displayed, press
ENTER
.
d. Use Ä to move to the next parameter.
e. Follow steps 1a–1d to enter data and move to the next
parameter.
3. Set the
TRIGGER
parameter to
TIMER
or
PERIODIC
(depending on the
software version of the validator), using © to scroll through the
options.
4. When all parameters have been entered, press F2 to start logging.
The task screen is redisplayed.
5. Press F1 to run the test.
6. Press F2 to turn on 24 V power, if necessary.
7. Press
F1
to stop the test.
