Operation
NOTE: With the pump still turning in reverse, proceed to
step 2 below
NOTE: Enviroflush Tank must contain at least 3 gallons
(11 312 liters) of release agent fuel for Auto Clean
Out operation
2 Select Rear Control on the in-cab control ( Figure
6-31,2 )
3 Select the next page ( Figure 6-31,1 ) on the In-Cab
Controller and select Clean Out ( Figure 6-32,1 )

4 Initiate automated clean-out by pressing the button
labeled “CL OUT ENVIRO” ( Figure 6-33,1 ) on the
rear fender control panel

5 This initiates the following automated steps for
CL.OUT ENVIRO:
• ASPHALT PUMP runs forward while the SOLVENT
CIRCULATE VALVE is closed and the ENVIRO
SOLVENT VALVE is opened This introduces
solvent into the SPRAYBAR and pump system from
the passenger side ENVIROFLUSH TANK In time
the SOLVENT CIRCULATE VALVE opens and the
solvent circulates through the ASPHALT PUMP and
SPRAYBAR
• ENVIRO SOLVENT VALVE closes as the ASPHALT
PUMP continues to run forward causing the solvent to
circulate through the SPRAYBAR and pump system
This is a timed sequence
• ASPHALT PUMP stops and reverses direction as
the SOLVENT CIRCULATE VALVE closes and the
ENVIROFLUSH TANK VALVE opens Dissolved
asphalt is pumped from the SPRAYBAR and ASPHALT
PUMP into the ENVIROFLUSH TANK
• ASPHALT PUMP stops and the ENVIROFLUSH TANK
VALVE closes
• Auto-assisted Cleanout cycle is complete

NOTE: See NOTE regarding HANDSPRAY WAND Valve
in previous section
DO NOT SMOKE around the machine.
Fuel, asphalt material and the fumes from both
can explode when exposed to flame or heat from
smoking or other sources .
Some residue will remain in the line .
Always wear protective clothing, gloves and a face
shield . Contact with hot asphalt can cause severe
burns .
Removing Solvent From The System
Always drain solvent from the system
before loading additional asphalt and before
changing the mode of operation . Failure to do so
could damage the system .
All solvent tank and vent valves must
be closed for ALL OTHER FUNCTIONS.
