5 This initiates the following automated steps for

CL.OUT DIESEL:

•

ASPHALT PUMP runs forward while the SOLVENT
CIRCULATE VALVE is closed and the SOLVENT
VALVE is opened This introduces solvent into the
SPRAYBAR and pump system from the driver side
DIESEL TANK In time the SOLVENT CIRCULATE
VALVE opens and the solvent circulates through the
ASPHALT PUMP and SPRAYBAR

•

SOLVENT VALVE closes as the ASPHALT PUMP
continues to run forward causing the solvent to
circulate through the SPRAYBAR and pump system
This is a timed sequence

•

ASPHALT PUMP stops and reverses direction as
the SOLVENT CIRCULATE VALVE closes and the
ENVIROFLUSH TANK VALVE opens Dissolved
asphalt is pumped from the SPRAYBAR and ASPHALT
PUMP into the ENVIROFLUSH TANK

•

ASPHALT PUMP stops and the ENVIROFLUSH TANK
VALVE closes

•

Auto-Assisted Clean-Out cycle is complete

6 Diesel Tank Clean-out Completes after

approximately 9 minutes

NOTE: If the HANDSPRAY WAND was used, open

the HANDSPRAY VALVE (Figure 6-20) on the
ASPHALT PUMP   Place a container under the
HANDSPRAY WAND to catch solvent   Be sure
not to contaminate the environment   Open
and close the combination grip and valve on
the HANDSPRAY WAND until a small amount
of solvent is expelled from the wand into the
container   Cycling the HANDSPRAY WAND
VALVE on and off will allow the air and dissolved
solvent to come out of the HANDSPRAY WAND
HOSE leaving it clean for the next use   Close
the HANDSPRAY WAND VALVE   Secure the
container and dispose the dissolved asphalt
according to local, state, and federal regulations
