Points to Check That Are Common to All
Software
If you find that the instructions are difficult to understand (e.g., if you are
using Windows for the first time), please refer first to the owner’s manuals
for your computer and for Windows.
Can’t Install

Is the Included CD-ROM Inserted Into Your Computer’s CD-
ROM Drive?
Check the CD-ROM drive.
Is There Sufficient Free Space on Your Hard Disk?
Increase the free space in your hard disk.
• Delete unneeded files (move them to the Recycle Bin), and then right-click the
Recycle Bin
and choose
Empty Recycle Bin
.
• Alternatively, you can add another hard disk.
For details on installing an additional hard disk, refer to the owner’s manu-
als for your computer and for Windows.
Was Another Application Running When You Installed the
Software?
Exit all applications, and perform the installation once again.
Application Does Not Start Up
.
Are a Large Number of Applications Already Running?
It may be that there is insufficient memory for another application to be started
up. Exit unneeded applications, and then start the new application. If an error
message is still displayed, try restarting Windows.
An Error Message Appears When You Start Up the Application
.
If an excessive number of applications are run simultaneously, an error message
may appear. If this occurs, click
OK
, and then exit all unneeded applications.
If an application remains in the
task bar
even after you have closed its window, it
is still running. You will need to exit all unneeded applications that appear in the
task bar
.
The Suspend (Power Save) Function of Your Computer Does Not Work
.
If the UA-100 connected to your computer is powered-on, the
Suspend
function
of your computer cannot be used. If you wish to use the
Suspend
function, turn
off the power of the UA-100 that is connected to your computer.
