If the UA-100 does not operate as you expect, check the following points.

on the included CD-ROM contains additional
detailed information on each item of software, and the latest information on
troubleshooting. Please refer to this information as well.
Points to Check on the UA-100
Power Does Not Turn On
.
Is the Power Supply Plug Correctly Connected to the Power
Supply Connector?
Is the Included AC Adaptor Correctly Connected to the AC
Adaptor Jack of the UA-100?
Check whether connections have been made correctly.
No Sound
.
Are Multiple Applications Running?
If an excessive number of applications are run simultaneously, an error message
may appear. If this occurs, click
OK
, and then exit all unneeded applications.
If an application remains in the
task bar
even after you have closed its window, it
is still running. You will need to exit all unneeded applications that appear in the
task bar
.
Have Settings Been Made in Windows to Specify the Output
Destination of the Audio Data?
You must specify
Roland UA-100 Wave 1
as the output destination. For details on
making this setting, refer to “UA-100 Driver Settings” (p. 23).
Is the UA-100 Driver Installed Correctly?
In order to use the UA-100 to play back a data, the
UA-100 Driver
must be
installed correctly. For the installation procedure and making settings, refer to
“Getting Ready to Use the UA-100” (p. 15).
In the Mixer Utility, Are the WAVE1, WAVE2, and Master
Faders Raised?
To start up the Mixer utility, double-click the volume icon
in the Windows
taskbar
.
If the volume icon is not displayed in the
taskbar
, click the
Start
button, and
choose
Program
–
Accessories
–
Entertainment
–
Volume control
to start up
the Mixer utility.
If the
Volume Control
has not been installed in your computer, use
Add/Remove Programs
in
Control Panel
to install it. For details on
installation, refer to your Windows owner’s manual or Windows help.
