Preparation/  
test setup: 

Connect the signal generator to the power-splitter input using the test 
cable. 
 
Connect the power sensor to a power-splitter output 
 
Connect the other power-splitter output to port1 (port2 to port 4) using an 
adapter from the calibration kit 
 
The reference oscillators in the signal generator and in the ZVB must be 
synchronized.

Signal-generator level: -5 dBm 
 
Adjust the signal-generator level so that the power meter  
reads 0 dB +/- 0.2 dB 
 
Determine the signal-generator level that gives –10 dBm at the splitter 
output. This level is required for the following measurement, “Checking 
Receiver Linearity”.  
 

Read off the power meter display and the ZVB marker values.
