CAN Bus
For controlling of some R&S modules, the CAN bus is used in TS-PWA3. The CAN bus
numbering results from the following scheme:
CANu::v::w::x
u = Board Number
v = Controller Number
w = Device Number
x = Slot Number
Board Number and Controller Number are always 0. The Device Number of the frame
is determined by the settings of the jumpers on the backplane (see
"Configurations with several Frames or Option R&S TS-PXB2"
Rear-I/O modules like R&S TS-PSYS1 and R&S TS-PSYS2, a 4 has to be added to
the Device Number.
Example:
CAN0::0::5::15
Board Number: 0
Controller Number: 0
Device Number: 5 (Device 1, Rear-I/O)
Slot Number: 15
The following table shows the jumper configuration for the bus terminations CAN1
(System) und CAN2 (User).
