This User Manual must be carefully read by the operator/engineer who is responsible
for working with the R&S TS-PWA3 before it is powered up for the first time.

As well as the operating instructions and the health and safety instructions which apply
at the site where the system is used, the applicable technical standards and regula-
tions for safe and proper working must be complied with.

The operating instructions must be available at or near the R&S TS-PWA3 at all times.

The owner must supplement the operating instructions with national accident preven-
tion and environmental protection regulations as appropriate.

Explanation of Symbols

The Test System Versatile Platform R&S TS-PWA3 has been manufactured in accord-
ance with accepted engineering practice and the latest scientific and technical findings.

Nevertheless there are certain risks which cannot be designed out of equipment.

Additional safety instructions have been developed to provide adequate safety for the
personnel working on the R&S TS-PWA3.

A satisfactory level of safety when using the R&S TS-PWA3 cannot be guaranteed
unless these instructions are followed.

Certain sections of text are specially highlighted. These sections have the following
meaning:
