2.4 Warning Messages in This Handbook
A warning message refers to a risk or danger that you need to be aware of. The signal
word indicates the severity of the safety hazard and how likely it will occur if you do not
follow the safety precautions.
WARNING
Potentially hazardous situation
Could result in death or serious injury if not avoided.
CAUTION
Potentially hazardous situation
Could result in minor or moderate injury if not avoided.
NOTICE
Potential risks of damage
Could result in damage to the supported product or to other property.
2.5 Labels on the Chamber
Labels with the following symbols indicate areas of risk on the chamber. In addition,
sections in this chapter which describe a specific risk are marked with the associated
symbol in the margin. The symbols have the following meaning:
Symbol Explanation
Potential hazard
Read the product documentation to avoid personal injury or product damage.
Laser beam
Chamber contains a class 2 laser
Avoid exposure to direct or reflected laser beam.
Staring directly into the beam can cause eye damage.
Disposal
Do not dispose of the chamber in normal household waste.
