4.5.3 By-pass pipeline
In order to allow the blower starting at the same time of the forevacuum system provide a by-pass line
between discharge and inlet flanges as shown in Fig. 8.
Insert in the by-pass line an automatic weight valve or a solenoid valve operated by a pressure switch (see
paragraph 4.6)
4.5.4 Cooling circuit
In order to cool the shaft seal provide a pipe system as shown
in Fig. 9.
The connections are G ¼ for all sizes.
The cooling water flow rate is 3 – 4 l/min with a supply
pressure > 0,5 barg.
To avoid the danger of winter freezing use antifreeze (any
type used for car radiators)

4.6 Starting devices
4.6.1 Automatic by-pass valve
The automatic by-pass valve is a check valve weight operated set at the starting pressure value Pe
calculated at par. 5.2 (see Fig. 10.1 )
4.6.2 Starting pressure switch
The starting pressure switch must be inserted on the forevacuum pipeline and must be set at the starting
pressure value Pe calculated at par. 5.2 l (see Fig. 10.2 )

Warning : Install the starting pressure switch vertically to avoid clogging danger.
The starting pressure switch can switch-on the blower or can close the solenoid valve on the by-pass
pipeline.
