TV, Blu-Ray Player, and Soundbar
Your Roadtrek is equipped with a 120 volt TV, Blu-Ray player, and soundbar audio system with remote control for your
enjoyment and viewing pleasure. To use these appliances, turn on the inverter. The inverter must be on even if connected to
shore power.
Your TV can receive signals from either the over-the-air antenna located on the vehicle roof or from the cable TV connection
in the front utility bay. To select the signal source (antenna or cable TV), locate the A-B switch in the overhead cabinet above
the TV and the Blu-Ray player. The top button connects the TV's input to the rooftop antenna, and the bottom button
connects it to the cable TV jack in the utility bay.
All three devices have their own remote control. For more information, see the HOWTO: Cable and TV Reception section of
the manual, and the manuals for the three devices.
Controlling the Soundbar
The soundbar offered in your Roadtrek allows you to control the sound from the audio sources in your vehicle. Use the
supplied remote control or the buttons along the right lower edge to control this system. The soundbar automatically detects
and switches to the audio source being produced (either dash radio, TV, or Blu-Ray player), but may select the wrong source
if you have two devices playing simultaneously. Turn the one you don't want to listen to off, and it will switch to the one you
want, or manually select the source with the controls.
Hot Water
Hot water for washing and showering is supplied by the Alde hydronic system. See the Alde manual for details. The Alde
system is powered by propane unless shore power is available, and also requires a small amount of 12 volt power to operate
its control system. Turn the battery disconnect switch on and ensure that you have propane in your tank and the main valve
on the propane tank is on before turning the Alde system on at the control panel. The Alde system will use approximately 20
amps of shore power, so be sure that the shore power connection you are using will supply adequate amperage. In situations
where the shore power is too low amperage or not available, the Alde will run on propane.
