HOWTO: Water System Winterizing
How to use your TS Adventurous in freezing conditions
When not in use, the TS needs to be winterized when temperatures approach freezing. The frost valve will open at
approximately 4 deg. C or 40 deg. F, allowing the fresh water to drain when the temperature approaches freezing.

conditions. This valve is in the Ottoman box on the passenger side.
The waste water system can also be used below freezing, provided that you add RV antifreeze to the tanks. A 25% solution of
RV antifreeze will typically provide burst protection down to 0 degrees F/ -18 C, so two gallons of RV antifreeze in your black
water tank will allow you to use it down to this temperature. The gray water tank can also be used, but will require four
gallons of RV antifreeze to protect it down to 0 F/ -18 C. Check the label of the RV antifreeze you buy for the concentration
necessary to protect your system - concentrations vary. If you don't want to use the wastewater system, leave it empty and
winterized.
