Before using your waste water system in subfreezing temperatures, dump your system, put at least a half gallon of RV
antifreeze in either the gray or black water tanks, open the gray or black valve, and run the wastewater pump until RV
antifreeze comes out the discharge hose. This protects the wastewater pump from freeze damage. Every time you run
wastewater without RV antifreeze through your discharge pump, repeat this procedure.
General guidelines for when to winterize
well above freezing (above 40 deg. F or above 4 deg. C) and the forecast is for temperatures just below freezing for a
few hours at night with calm winds, then you don`t need to winterize. The heat in your Roadtrek is enough to keep the
tanks and lines from freezing.
