Upgrading
How to upgrade your environment
The following process describes how you upgrade your environment:
1.
Back up the existing system configuration to a temporary location on the new appliance. Do not back up the flow
and roll-up data.
2.
Choose the flow and roll-up data to copy to the new appliance, according to your requirements.
Note:
Adjust log files size allocation accordingly on the new appliance, to maintain custom log files allocation from the current
environment.
3.
Restore the backed-up environment from the temporary location on to the new appliance.
4.
Verify that the upgrade process completed successfully.

Use the following supported migration paths table to prepare for the upgrade process:

Verify that the current appliance and the appliance use the same software version.
Verify that the current appliance and the new appliance have identical number of expansion modules installed before
you start the upgrade process. If you upgrade to an appliance with more expansion modules that the current appliance,
add the modules after you completed the upgrade process.
