(15) Do not grip the high pressure by hand when pressure is being exerted. If the pressure hose
breaks while it is being gripped by hand, high pressure hydraulic oil will be suddenly
dispersed, and serious injury such as a hole being opened in oneʼs hand may occur.
(16) The high pressure hose is a consumable item. Even if the hose exterior appears to be in
good condition, it is possible internal damage such as pin holes have occurred. Riken
recommend periodic replacement based upon how frequently hoses have been used
combined with specific application conditions. This might mean replacing the hose even if the
lifespan has not fully expired.
(17)Carefully check the increase in oil temperature and motor heating when the pump is used
continuously, and be sure to follow the time regulation for each pump.
CAUTIONS
(1) Use general-purpose ISO VG32 oil with the electric pump (RIKEN POWER OIL).
Phosphoester, water glycol, and w/o emulsion oils cannot be used.
The electric pump will malfunction due to deterioration of packing and corrosion of the
equipment. Contact Riken when using these kinds of unapproved oils.
(2) Do not use the high pressure safety valve as a relief valve. Install a separate relief valve if it is
necessary to perform continuous relief.
(3) When an air release valve (SV-1000) is installed and air release is performed, hydraulic oil will
come out of the discharge holes of the air release valve. Use a cloth or other suitable material
to prevent dispersion of the oil.
(4) Waste oil generated by the electric pump is classified as an “Industrial Waste Product”.
Consult your local regulatory agencies and dispose of the oil through a licensed industrial
waste collection agency or industrial waste processing agency.
