Pump fitted with a manually operated directional control valve incorporating a counter balance
valve (SCB-43B) for the operation of double-acting cylinders. Pressure maintenance is possible by means
of the SPS-7A pressure switch.
Example of Use: For the operation of double acting cylinders:
Ensure load bearing side is connected to port B.
Operational
Example assumes port B is connected to the push side and
Port A is connected to the pull side.
1) Open the air valve.
2) Before operation, set the pressure switch to the required pressure.
3) Set the handle of the direction control valve to the middle position.
4) Turn on the operational switch to start the motor and run the pump.
5) Change the handle of the direction control valve to the right side (port B).
The cylinder piston will advance and pressure rises. The operation is performed.
6) When pressure reaches the level set on the pressure switch, the motor stops,
maintaining pressure at that level. The motor starts again when pressure
falls to differential pressure lower than the pressure level set.
7) Turning off the operational switch during pump operation will cause the
pump motor to stop, but both pressure and the position of the cylinder
piston will be held at the position reached. However, the pump motor will
not start again even if pressure falls.
8) Move the direction control valve handle to the pull side of the cylinder.
System pressure will rise until it reaches 18 MPa, at which point the cylinder piston
will commence retraction.
9) Turn off the operation switch.
10) Close the air valve & move the direction valve handle into the middle position.
<Adjustment Method for the Counter Balance Valve>
The counter balance valve is factory adjusted at 18 MPa when shipped.
Follow the procedures listed below to change the valve adjustment pressure
setting again.
1) Loosen the hexagon nut and the adjustment screw.
2) Place the handle of the direction control valve to port A side.
3) Start the pump. While watching the pressure gauge, tighten the adjustment
screw so that pressure required is attained. Secure with the hexagon nut
when completed.
4) Remove the hose.
* Do not touch any areas other than the adjustment nut.
