To Create an Arbitrary Waveform
Press Arb, use to open the 2/2 menu page, and then press Create Wform
to open the arbitrary waveform creation interface.
1.
Cycle Period
Press this softkey and use the numeric keyboard or direction keys and knob to
set the cycle period of the new waveform. The range is from 20.0ns to 1Ms.
Note: The time of the last point that can be defined should be lower than the
cycle period.
2. HiLevel
Press this softkey and use the numeric keyboard or direction keys and knob to
set the high level of the new waveform. The high level is the maximum voltage
that can be set during the waveform editing. The high level must be greater
than the "LoLevel" currently set and lower than or equal to +5V (50Ω).
3. LoLevel
Press this softkey and use the numeric keyboard or direction keys and knob to
set the low level of the new waveform. The low level is the minimum voltage
that can be set during waveform edit. The low level must be greater than or
equal to -5V (50Ω) and lower than the "HiLevel" currently set.
4. Points
When creating a new waveform, the waveform editor will automatically create
a waveform with two points. By default, point 1 is located at 0s and the time
value of point 2 is slightly lower than the specified period. In addition, the
levels of the two points are equal to the specified "
LoLevel". Press this softkey
and use the numeric keyboard or direction keys and knob to set the number of
initial points of the new waveform. DG4000 allows users to create arbitrary
waveform with 2 to 16384 (16K) points. After setting the number of initial
points, you can "
Insert" or "Delete" the points by referring to the
introductions below if necessary.
