OPERATION

ADJUSTING THE TEMPERATURE

See Figure 3, page 10.

The maximum heat output of the tool is 1100ºF. Adjust the

heat output by turning the temperature adjustment dial.

With the flame ignited, turn the dial clockwise to lower the

temperature and counter-clockwise raise the temperature.

 WARNING:

The proper amount of heat necessary for a specific

application depends on the distance between the

nozzle and workpiece and the length of time heat is

applied. Experiment with scrap materials and start

with the lowest temperature range. Be cautious

when working until the proper combination of heat,

distance and time has been determined. Leaving

the heat gun unattended could increase the risk

of fire or personal injury.

OPERATING THE HEAT GUN

See Figure 4 - 6, page 10.

 WARNING:

Do not direct hot tip or nozzle toward clothing,

hands, or other body parts. Intense heat from tip or

nozzle can cause serious burns or cause clothing

to ignite.

 WARNING:

Do not operate the heat gun in an inverted position,

which could cause the internal flame to extend

beyond the nozzle. An exposed flame could cause

serious personal injury or property damage to

combustible materials.

  Install the battery pack.

Start the heat gun and adjust the temperature setting.

Hold heat gun with one hand.

 WARNING:

Do not place second hand on top of tool or near

nozzle at any time. Holding the tool on or near the

nozzle can cause serious personal injury.

Move the heat gun until the nozzle is close to the area

being heated.

NOTE:

Experiment with scrap materials to determine the

proper amount of heat, distance and time for your project.

 WARNING:

During heating, move the tool back-and-forth.

Avoid lingering or pausing in one spot as this

could overheat or potentially ignite the material

being heated.

Squeeze and hold the switch trigger for approximately

two seconds to extinguish the heat gun’s flame and turn

the temperature adjustment dial completely clockwise to

the

OFF

 position.

NOTE:

After the flame is extinguished, the LED indicator

will blink and the fan will continue to operate until the

internal components of the heat gun have cooled down.

Allow the heat gun and the heated surface to cool

thoroughly, then remove the battery pack.

HANDS-FREE OPERATION

See Figure 7, page 10.

The heat gun has a kickstand that acts as a support to allow
hands-free operation and cooling. For hands-free operation,
rest the tool on its battery pack and ensure it’s balanced
properly against the kickstand.
Depending on the size and shape of the battery pack being
used, it may be possible to rest the tool on its end cap with
the nozzle facing up.

 WARNING:

Do not leave heat gun unattended while it is

running or cooling down. Never direct the nozzle

tip towards people, pets, or the supporting surface

while running or cooling down. Following this rule

will reduce the risk of serious personal injury or

property damage.
