6.7 IMAGE PROCESSING
6.7.1 OVERVIEW
•
The CCD generates three analog video signals.
•
The AFE (Analog Front End processor) on the SBU (Sensor Board Unit) converts
these analog signals to 10-bit digital signals.
•
It sends these digital signals to the MCB (Main Control Board) board through the
LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling).
•
The CPU on the MCB processes the image, and then the image data is sent to
the network or to a local printer through the NIB or the SCSI-2 controller.
