• Replace the master if the cleaning blade is damaged.
• Pentagonal mirror motor problem - replace the motor. If the problem
still occurs, replace the SCU, SPU, or UIB.
If the master belt is scratched, replace the master unit and the part that is doing
the damage.
Make a printer test (service function 09, mode 0; see page 2-32). Is the
printout normal?

Clean the laser optics carefully with a blower brush or soft dry cloth.
• Clean the scanner optics.
• Replace the fluorescent lamps.
