1.4 Inflation Valve Reassembly

Prepare the Inflation Valve for rebuilding. Items List:

•

Rebuild Kit (Part No. 95-41120-101)

•

DC-111 O-Ring Lubricant

•

DC-55 O-Ring

•

Wrenches and Sockets

•

Torque Wrench

•

Loctite

1.4.1

Only organizations that are equipped with the latest technical data, tools and fixtures

are permitted to perform inflation valve rebuilding activities.

1.4.2

Steps 1-10 show a pictorial representation of the Inflation Valve

Reassembly Process.

1.4.3

All O-rings, Safety Rupture Disk, Piston, and Spring are replaced every six years.

(Scheduled during the cylinder valve inflation test and cylinder hydrostatic test)

1.4.4

Lubricate all O-rings (except O-ring -210, IPL Fig. 4, Item 20) with a cold temperature

silicone based lubricant such as DC-55. Apply a thin film of DC-111 lubricant to O-ring -

210.

1.4.5

Clean and dry piston before assembly. Coat piston bore of the Body Assembly (IPL Fig.

4, Item 10), Piston (IPL Fig. 4, Item 130), Piston Spring (IPL Fig. 4, Item 120), and

Piston Housing (IPL Fig. 4, Item 140) with DC-55.
