1.1 Torque Settings
The settings listed in table below list the required torque settings for the 41115 Series inflation system.
Refer to this table when tightening inflation system components that require a specific setting.
Tighten to the minimum setting in the specified range first. If leakage occurs, discharge the assembly
and tighten to the maximum setting.

Inflation Valve to Cylinder – 41115 40-45 lbf.ft (54.25-61 Nm)
Straight Outlet to Fixed Inlet Check 14-15 lbf ft (18.98-20.34 Nm)
Outlet Fitting 5-6.5 lbf.ft (6.78-9.04 Nm)
Safety Disk Retainer 20-25 lbf.ft (27.10-33.90 Nm)
Fill Fitting Body 10-15 lbf.ft (13.50-20.34 Nm)
Fill Fitting Plug “Snug" Hand Tight
1.2 Removal of Inflation Valve from Cylinder

Important: Make Sure Cylinder has been emptied prior to removing Inflation Valve.
Refer to Chapter 4 – Testing for Gas System Inflation Test for discharge procedure.
1.2.2 Use ratchet and crows foot to remove Inflation Valve from Cylinder.

Check threads for condition.
1.2.3.1
Inflation Valves with worn threads must be discarded and replaced.
1.3 Inflation Valve Disassembly
1.3.1 Only organizations that are equipped with the latest technical data, tools and fixtures
are permitted to perform firing head rebuilding activities.

Disassembly Process.
1.3.3
All O-rings, Safety Rupture Disk, Piston, and Spring are replaced every six years.
(Scheduled during cylinder valve inflation test and the cylinder hydrostatic test)
