7 CompactFlash (CF) Memory Card
7.1 Out line of CF Memory Card
You can save and download user data (library, configuration tasks, application tasks,
NVMEMDEF variables, NVLOCAL variables and TUNE variables) and the OS of the
PSC7000 controller with use of the CF Memory Card. When the DSP module of the
PSC7000 Control Card is changed, the same data can be directly downloaded from the CF
Memory Card without intervention of the PSC terminal. Also, when the version of the
operating system of PSC7000 needs to be changed, the applicable operating system can be
downloaded from the CF Memory Card.
The DSP module of the PSC7000 Control Card has a backup battery, so the user data on
the DSP module remains intact when the PSC7000 is turned off. If data loss accidentally
occurs on the DSP module, the lost data can be recovered through the use of the CF
Memory Card. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to save user data and operating
system in the CF Memory Card beforehand.
The CF Memory Card does not come with the PSC7000 Control Card, sold separately.
Use the CF Memory Card (Model: CFI-512 MDG or CFI-256MDG) supplied by Reliance
Electric only. See Table 2-2. Attempts to use other models of CF Memory Cards from
other suppliers may cause it to malfunction or damage to the system.
The format of the CF Memory Card is FAT (FAT 16) only. The other format types are not
supported .
When the updated data is saved in the CF Memory Card, old files will be completely
erased and overwritten.
