4. Installation - mechanical
Place your caravan or trailer on a level surface.
Preferably a lifting ramp or an assembly pit. If you
use a car-jack, please make sure that the caravan
or trailer is secured with adequate supporting
blocks.
Working under the vehicle without
support and security measures can
cause danger to your life!
Take all parts out of the packing and arrange
them on the floor in front of you. The below
mounting procedure must be executed for both
axles:

Determine the
ideal position in front of and be-
hind the axle. When doing this, please note the
following:
- the distance between the lower edges of the
chassis and the floor
(min. 110 mm !)
- Frame bottom line and ground
(recommended ground clearance min. 120 mm)
- additional parts fixed on the trailer, such as
waste-water pipes, spare wheel, etc.

First, fasten the left or right drive unit at the chas-
sis using two long U- bolts and a flat mounting
plate.
The angular "clamping plate MC Twin" is posi-
tioned below the frame and the straight mounting
plate is positioned above the frame with the nose
to below, as described under
3
. Thus , t he frame
is clamped between the two plates.
Depending on the mounting situation, please use
the angular clamping plates 16 and/or 20 mm
(plate side face up). They will be placed sepa-
rately or together below the frame on the
"clamping plate MC Twin".
Insert the long U- bolts from below over the stabi-
lizer bar and through the holes in the plates.
Mount the washers and the self-locking nuts.
Tighten the nuts at the U-bolts "hand-tight".
The drive unit is now attached to the chassis.

First, fasten the left or right drive unit at the chas-
sis using two U- bolts and a flat mounting plate.
The angular "clamping plate MC Twin" is posi-
tioned below the frame and the straight mounting
plate is positioned above the frame with the nose
to below, as described under

. Thus , t he frame
is clamped between the two plates.
Insert the U- bolts from below over the stabilizer
bar and through the holes in the plates.
Mount the washers and the self-locking nuts.
Tighten the nuts at the U-bolts "hand-tight".
The drive unit is now attached to the chassis.

Insert the angular clamping plate Twin from above
in parallel position into the corresponding drive
unit.
Turn the clamping plate by 90 degrees around
until the clamping plate is positioned evenly on
the frame and the open U-profile encloses the
wing.
Insert the drive unit with clamping plate below
frame in that way that the prominent strap of the
clamping plate is visible from outside.
