Enter  the  name  of  the

link  template  to  use  when  registering  with  the

sector  controller.  The  RAP  (Rapid  Auto  Provisioning)  feature  must  be  enabled  by  the
options key

 (

).

Important

You

MUST

reboot the RDL-3000 after changing the CIR and/or PIR for

any active STID template:

System  operators  can  use  the  Rapid  Auto-Provisioning  (RAP)  option  to  pre-provision
wireless  links  on  the  sector  controller  without  specifying  a  remote  unit  MAC  address.
This allows the wireless link configuration to be pre-specified for quick deployment in a
RAP-enabled  sector  and  automatically  establish  a  wireless  link  with  the  required
operating characteristics.

Using the RAP feature requires two steps. The first step is to pre-provision one or more
link templates in each sector controller that will support RAP-enabled units operating in
that  sector.  Creating  a  RAP  'Template'  requires  the  same  information  as  a  standard
wireless  link  definition,  except  the  MAC  address  is  replaced  with  an  STID  name  and
STID  password,  allowing  a  wireless  connection  to  be  made  to  any  remote  unit
presenting these credentials.
