CASE: ECO-STOP Disabled (default)
If the function is disabled, on reaching the temperature set, the boiler
will continue to operate at minimum power until the thermostat
demands more power or until the user decides to switch it off manually.
The boiler is factory set with the ECO-STOP mode
disabled, as in the above example.

CASE: ECO-STOP Enabled and time-controlled
If this function is enabled, on reaching the temperature set, the boiler
drops to minimum power for the amount of time set by the user, which
can vary from a minimum of 1 minute to a maximum of 30 minutes. If
no further temperature demands are made during this time, the boiler
will automatically be switched off. The boiler will automatically restart
only if the thermostat demands a higher temperature.
Example with ECO-STOP enabled and time-controlled:
If the room temperature detected by the thermostat sensor (internal or
external) is 15 °C and the temperature set on the thermostat is 20 °C,
the boiler rises (according to a default ramp) to maximum power and
on reaching the target (20 °C), the boiler drops back down to minimum
power. The boiler remains in this mode for 15 minutes and if the room
temperature remains above the temperature set, the boiler is
automatically switched off, temporarily, displaying “
Eco Stop”. When
the room temperature drops below the value set on the thermostat (for
instance, 18 °C), the boiler is prepared for restarting automatically
(“COOL-FIRE”) and then runs until it achieves 20 °C again.
If the boiler is equipped with the domestic hot water production kit and
hot water is demanded for more than 30 seconds (through the water
flow meter), the boiler restarts immediately, skipping the above cooling
phases (“COOL-FIRE”)
All the automatic restarting operations, whether
because the room temperature drops or whether hot
water is demanded, are possible if the boiler is
switched on or in ECO-STOP mode.
If the user switches the boiler off manually by
pressing the
button,
the boiler does not perform
automatic restarts when the temperature varies or if
hot water is demanded
If the domestic hot water production kit is fitted, it is
advisable to disable the ECO-STOP mode in order to
shorten the response times to the hot water demand.
Do remember however that the temperature assigned to the
thermostat is only indicative and it is up to the user to find the correct
parameter in the room where the boiler is installed (for instance, (s)he
needs to set 22 °C in the thermostat to have 20 °C). In this mode,
start-up can be performed by the user by resetting the thermostat
temperature to a value higher than the temperature inside the room or
by pressing the
button for a few seconds,
to switch to “Off” mode
and then, by pressing the same button again, the boiler is restarted.
