This connection assumes:
•
You are connecting antenna, cable, or cable box
system.
•
Your television has only an RF input jack.
This connection provides:
•
Mono sound playback from the VCR.
•
Record one channel while watching another (except
when using a cable box for all channels).
To use this connection, you must have:
For cable or antenna connection:
•
(1) RF coaxial cable
For a cable box connection:
•
(2) RF coaxial cables (connect one from the cable box
to the VCR, and another from the VCR to the TV).
To connect:
1. Make sure the cable or antenna line is connected to the
antenna IN jack on the VCR (or cable box if applicable).
2. Connect cables running antenna

Using This Connection
•
Tune the TV to channel 3 or 4, whichever was selected
with the CH. 3/4 switch on the back of the VCR. This is the
channel the VCR sends a signal to.
•
Use the Auto TV/VCR function to have the VCR
automatically broadcast its picture over the TV’s when a
tape is inserted or played.
To play a tape:
1. Insert a tape and hit PLAY if necessary.
To record one program and watch another:
1. Begin recording a program using one of the
recording features.
2. Press the TV button on the remote control and select a
different channel on the TV to view.
