Each time you press the RECORD button, you add 30
minutes to the recording time (up to 9 and one-half hours).
The VCR continues to record for the amount of time set,
then automatically stops recording and turns off.
Timer Recording
You can set up as many as 16 timer recording programs up
to one year in advance.
1. Press MENU to display the VCR MAIN MENU.
2. Press 3 to select TIMER RECORDING. This will display the
SELECT EVENT menu.

Each heading will be displayed in the top menu title
bar. The first entry requiring information is the event
number you are selecting (1-16).
3. Use the number buttons to select the next available
event number (1-16) using two digits for each entry (for
event “1,” enter “0-1”).
Once the event has been selected, a new screen
displaying a calendar appears:

4. Use the number keys to select the date and time of the
event (SET MONTH, SET DAY). The default setting is the
current date and time.
Timer Recording Information
The clock must be set correctly.
Insert a tape with the safety tab in
place and enough tape to record
the program.
“TIMER EVENTS OVERLAP” appears
and the screen turns red if you have
entered two programs with
conflicting times.
“TIMER” appears on the VCR front
panel when a timer recording has
been set. “TIMER” flashes if there is
no tape in the VCR.
For cable box or satellite receiver,
turn the unit on and tune it to the
channel you want to record before
the recording is to begin.
To clear a timer event, select the
event to be removed and hit the
CLEAR button on the remote control.
