ENGINE
Weekly (Every 25 working hours)
Air cleaner (Fig.16)
Service foam pre-cleaner.
1.
Unhook clips 'A' on both sides of air cleaner
and remove cover 'B'.
2. Slide foam pre-cleaner 'F' off cartridge 'E'.
3. Wash foam pre-cleaner in a liquid detergent
and water.
4. Squeeze foam dry in a clean cloth.
5. Saturate foam in engine oil. Wrap it in a
clean absorbent cloth and squeez to remove
excess oil.
6. Reinstall pre-cleaner over cartridge.
7. Reinstall air cleaner cover and reattach clips to
the sides of the air cleaner body.
Every 100 working hours)
Air cleaner
Service cartridge.
1.
Unhook clips 'A' on both sides of air cleaner
and remove cover 'B'.
2. Remove cartridge 'E' and clean by tapping
gently on a flat surface.
3. If very dirty, replace or wash cartridge in a
non-sudsing detergent and warm water
solution. Rinse thoroughly with warm water
from inside out until water runs clear. Let
cartridge drythoroughly before using.
CAUTION: Petroleum solvents, such as kerosene,
are not to be used to clean cartridge. They may
cause deterioration of the cartridge.
DO NOT OIL CARTRIDGE. DO NOT USE
PRESSURIZED AIR TO CLEAN OR DRY
CARTRIDGE
.
4. Reinstall cartridge, cover plate, knob and pre-
cleaner.
5. Reinstall air cleaner cover and reattach clips to
the sides of the air cleaner body.
COOLING SYSTEM (Fig.17)
It may be neccesary to clean the screen protecting
the cooling air in-take on the right-hand side of the
machine to ensure a free flow of air. Clean the
bonnet screen, and raise the bonnet to check the
trough next to the engine.
