LUBRICATION
Read the safety instructions.
Before using the machine for the first time lubricate
all points.
ENGINE
Daily (Every 8 working hours)
Check level of oil in the sump. Remove dipstick and
check that the oil is up to the correct mark indicated.
Top up if necessary.
First 5 working hours and every 50 working hours
Drain engine oil.
(a)
After warming up the engine drain all oil from
the sump (A Fig.9).
(b) Re-fill sump with the recommended oil
through the dipstick/filler (A fig.10). Capacity
1.7 litres (3 imp.pints) 3.6 US pints.
(c) Replace dipstick/filler cap securely after
filling.
NOTE - Ensure machine is on level ground when
checking level of oil.
Every 100 working hours
Change oil filter
(a)
Remove rear lft arm spring and lower cutting
unit to the ground.
(b) Unscrew the oil filter (B Fig.9) from the side of
the engine using a filter wrench and discard.
(c) Replace with a new filter. Apply a thin coat of oil
to the rubber gasket. Tighten by hand until
gasket contacts oil filter adaptor. Tighten 1/2 to
3/4 turn more.
(d) After replacing filter cartridge, check and fill
sump if required, run engine and check level of
oil in sump.
(e) Raise rear unit lift arm and replace the spring.
MACHINE
Weekly: (Every 25 working hours).

Transmission:
Check level of oil in the hydraulic oil tank (Fig.11).
The correct level of oil is shown via the sight gauge
(A) on the front of the tank. (Ensure the machine is
parked on a flat level surface before checking any
levels.)
