2.9 R&S UPV Default Setting
If the switcher panel is activated for the first time after loading the R&S UPL default
setup, the channels are set to a defined default state. All channels of the two switcher
types are set to 0 in this state. Thus it can be ensured that channels are not
unpredictably closed when the user interface is opened, which would cause illegal
states in the test setup.
Fig. 2-17 Default-Setting: R&S UPV
If the same setting as in the default state is to be obtained, it is sufficient to set any
channel to "
0
" with the tracking setting described above. All other settings are then
adapted.
2.10 Operating the R&S UPZ from the R&S UPV
The figure shows the operating panel displayed when an input switcher and an output
switcher are connected (otherwise, only the lines relating to the recognized switcher
type would appear).
Fig. 2-18 Channel setting via the R&S UPV
Two lines are available for each switcher type, i.e. one for busbar A, the other for
busbar B. If any line is selected (by setting the black bar to the desired line), numerical
entry of the channel can be performed by pressing the SELECT key and confirming the
selection with ENTER. If ENTER is pressed instead of the SELECT key, the channel
can be selected by simply actuating the rollkey on the front panel. The channel number
set by means of the rollkey is immediately active so that the channels can be through-
connected by just turning the rollkey. Pressing a cursor key or ENTER terminates this
entry mode.
It is
not
possible to set the same channel to busbar A
and
B. The R&S UPV skips the
set channel.
