3.5 Locking the Joystick Module (Fig 3.7 - 3.10)
To lock the wheelchair:
• While the control system is switched on (Fig
3.7
) depress
and hold the On/Off button.
• After 1 second the control system will beep
and
the screen
will
go blank (Fig
3.8
). Now release the On/Off button
.
• Deflect the joystick forwards until the control system beeps.
• Deflect the joystick in reverse until the control system beeps.
• Release the joystick, there will be a long beep.
• The wheelchair is now locked.

The following icon will be displayed (Fig
3.9
), the next time
the Control System is switched on.
If an LED Joystick Module is fitted
, t
he Speed Indicator
LEDs
will ripple from left to right.
• If the control system has switched off, press the On/Off
button. The “Locked “ symbol is displayed (Fig
3.9
).
• Deflect the joystick forwards until the control system beeps.
• Deflect the joystick in reverse until the control system beeps.
• Release the joystick. There will be a long beep
and
the
screen
will illuminate (Fig
3.10
).
• The wheelchair is now unlocked.
