Getting Started

Install Data Cartridges

Desktop Scalar 218FC

If necessary, unlock the sliding access panel by placing the key in the lock, and turning it one-half turn
ccw (left) to unlock.

Open the sliding access panel by sliding it to the rear of the Scalar 218FC.

Rack-mount Scalar 218FC

If necessary, unlock the front panel and slide it towards you until the slide stops engage.

All Scalar 218FC Units

Place each of the cartridges into the library storage slots. Install all cartridges with the barcode label
facing forward and the write-protect switch at the top.
