Assembly:
d) Now take the saddle clamp, open the quick-re-
lease lever, if necessary also open the knurled
wheel a little (counter-clockwise). Push the clamp
with the opening to the rear - aligned with the slot
in the seat tube - onto the fork as far as it will go.

In the picture on the right you can see how the
seat post should be inserted: the handle points to
the front, the slot of the seat clamp to the back (in
the picture the lever is opened). In the foreground
is the right crank, in the background the left
crank. This way of assembly ensures that the
pedals will not come loose during driving.
To fix the seat post, ad-
just the clamping force
with the knurled wheel
- and then turn the
lever to lock the clamp.
Then check whether the
saddle and the seat post
are secured against
twisting.
The pedals are labeled
„L“ for left and „R“ for
right on the inside of the
pedal-axle, just like the
cranks. The right pedal
is screwed in clockwise,
the left one anticlock-
wise!
e) Tighten the pedals
with a 15 mm open end
wrench. For steel cranks with
35 Nm, for aluminium cranks with
20 Nm. Tighten the right crank clockwise,
the left counterclockwise. Be sure to check
for them being still tightened properly after the first exits and then
regularly from time to time.
