Assembly:
a) First take the wheel and take a closer look. On the inside of the cranks there is „R“ for
„Right“ or „RH“ for „Right Hand“ on one side or „L“ or „LH“ for „Left Hand“ on the other side
next to the length. This way you can determine the direction of riding for the unicycle. This
is very important for the following assembly, because the pedals have left and right hand
threads. That means to pull them tight you have to turn them in different directions. Why?
Quite simple - otherwise you would loose them simply by driving forward. This is same with
bicycles - except that it is clear at first glance where the front and back are.
The left picture shows the left crank inside - with the „L“, the right picture the right crank
inside with the „R“. Here on the picture the pedals are already screwed in - on the inside of
their axle you can already see an „L“ or „R“.
It is best to take the wheel between your legs now - with the right crank on the right and the
left crank on the left - in driving direction.
Required tools
15 mm open-end wrench
> to assemble and tighten the pedals
10 mm open-end wrench
> to fix the bearing-cups
For QU-AX Luxus unicycles a second seat
post is part of the package - this is 150 mm
long.
If only one, long, seat post is included in the
package
(e.g. OnlyOne), this can be shortened in
order to be able to insert it completely into
the frame. This may be necessary for small
riders - but is very easy to do with a standard
metal saw. The ridge must then be removed
cleanly with a metal rasp so that the seat
post can slide cleanly into the fork.
This can be done even better with a pipe
cutter, as known from DIY stores or bicycle
shops.
If necessary:
Metal saw for shortening the seat post
L for left
R or right
