When the lamp burns out, or when it gets too dark from age, use the
following instructions to replace it.

5HPRYLQJWKH2OG/DPS

Turn off the scanner and unplug it from the power source.

Raise the document cover.

Turn on the scanner.

Watch the lamp. When it is positioned at the dot between the
“1” and the “2,” turn off the scanner again and unplug it.

This should take about 15 seconds for the lamp to move to this
position.
