5.5.1 Requirements / proceeding with the SIMATIC
®
Manager
The DP slave must support the DP
service “Set_Slave_Adr” (SAP55) and must be
connected with a DPM2 master, e.g. PC/PG with SIEMENS Communication
Processor “CP 5512”. The MS2 connection, established explicitly by the DPM2
master, does not have to be projected!

During address assignment
no further bus master may be connected at the PROFIBUS-DP. If otherwise an
additional bus master is used it must be guaranteed that the bus master and
PC/PG operate with the same baud rate.
the DP s
lave must be in the condition “WAIT Parameter (WPRM)”, which is present
automatically after POWER ON/RESET.
In this condition no cyclic data between master and slave are exchanged!
If addit
ional diagnostic tools such as “PROFIBUS Scope” (utilizes also the CP 5512
device driver) are installed on the PC/PG, about the setting possibilities the S7 Driver
must be activated. If this is not possible, it is to be guaranteed by the WINDOWS
®
Device Manager that the CP 5512 device driver is assigned to the SIMATIC
®
Manager.
