In case of device type B, see Figure 2, the bus termination resistors also are already 
installed inside the device. However, by the internal wiring it is defined that this device 
type may be connected 

selectively between two slaves

 (B I) or 

as last slave

 (B II) 

into the bus. 
 
If  the  measuring  system  is  to  be  connected  as  last  slave  into  the  bus,  externally  a 
jumper  must  be  established  from  TERM_A  to  Bus_A_OUT  and  from  TERM_B  to 
Bus_B_OUT (B II). 
 
Note on the nameplate

: “Termination Resistor OFF” 

 
 

 

Stub  lines  (BII)  represent  a  problem  for  PROFIBUS  RS485  transmission 
technology and should be avoided.
