Apparatus line
11.4.1.
Connecting the apparatus lines
The KDC3905 and BM0900 are compatible with the previously produced decoders (older
“
jumper
”
and new PC512/612). The principles of creating uniphone networks are the same as in case of
CD1803 control panel. To connect the decoder, use two cables connected to LA+ and LA- (ground)
terminals of KDC3905 cassette. Decoders should be connected in parallel.
11.4.2.
Message E-2
A message
is displayed in case of excessive current consumption from the apparatus line.
Overload level is set at about 250mA.
When an overload is detected, the device line is switched off to prevent damage to the equipment.
If the overload disappears, the device line will be restored to its normal state.
In case of overload, each connection attempt will result in a message
and the connection
will not be made. The message is displayed when trying to connect to the premises.
11.4.3.
Address type
KDC3905 keyboards enable to use two addressing modes:
•
impulse
–
compatible with old devices PC255 and PC999, the supported number range is
closed in a range of 1-255 (larger numbers are supported by calculations and redirections
in A-2 program).
•
bits
–
by default, enabled addressing of a new type, compatible only with PC512 devices,
enables addressing devices up to the number 16 383. This enables to support large
housing estates without the need to recalculate numbers in PBX.
Address type changes in parameter 99, s1 flag activates bit addressing. After resetting the
parameter, the PBX switches to the old type addressing (impulse, compatible with PC255).
Note
!
In case of new keyboard installation and any addressing problems (e.g. you can only call
number 1), start by switching the addressing mode to the old one (reset parameter 99).

Locking bolt
11.5.1.
Electrical installation
Lock is connected to LOCK and PGND terminals (GND for BM0900)
–
see diagram in Figure 1.
Connecting peripherals. Keyboard provides DC voltage adjustable by parameter (from 0V (min) to
supply voltage (max)). The maximum permissible output load is 0.5A.
11.5.2.
Configuration
Hardware configuration of locking is limited to a few parameters (available through A-8 program
and in the graphical menu). Parameters shown below are saved locally on each keyboard.
Note!
In KDC3900 system, unlike other parameters, the locking parameters are saved in the
keyboard (satellites save their settings). When changing the
“
local
”
setting, e.g. 2400 by PBX, the
settings in keyboard no. 2 are modified.
Description of technical parameters:
•
Filling PWM at idle (par. 400)
–
power with which the lock is controlled during the
“
closing
”
phase. In case of a standard locking, the filling will be 0. In case of a reverse locking, the
