Connecting devices in one system
Below is shown the way of connecting satellite keyboards with the PBX. Figure 3 shows the
principle of connection; it does not show the principle of bus looping. There are 2 buses in the
KDC3905 keyboard and BM0900 modular base: SAT and REM. They are equivalent and can be used
interchangeably. KDC3915 keyboards only use outputs marked as SAT.
Both buses (SAT and REM) consist of additional cables:

microphone signal from satellite

loudspeaker signal for satellite

CAN
–
data bus between keyboards
It is recommended to use CAT 5 cable to connect keyboards; the resistance of cables should not
exceed 20Ω between the furthest
sections in the system. Excessive resistance of cabling may cause
overhearing on audio tracks, inducements and communication problems.
