Rear view camera
(only available for the Cayenne)
The rear view camera makes it easier to monitor
parking maneuvers as well as the area
immediately behind the vehicle. It is mounted on
the vehicle tailgate.
The image from the rear view camera is shown on
the PCM display.
The TV sound is suppressed when the camera is
extended. Audio source (FM, AM, CD/DVD, and
AUX) sound output continues uninterrupted.
Voice control is not available when the camera is
extended.

camera
You can choose different settings for the
retraction and extension conditions.
Extending and retracting the rear view
camera manually
1.
Press the
d
button.
2.
Press the
i
button or touch the tab of
the same name in the header.
3.
Select "
Rear view camera
".
4.
Select "
Show image
".
The rear view camera is extended. The image
is shown on the PCM display.
5.
Pressing the Back button
h
retracts the
rear view camera once more.
The rear view camera is also retracted if
– the vehicle ignition is switched off,
– the vehicle tailgate is opened,
– the PCM is switched off, or
– a speed of approx. 10 mph is exceeded.
Extending the rear view camera
automatically
If this function is switched on, the camera
automatically extends when reverse gear is
engaged and transmits its image to the PCM
display.
DANGER!
Injury hazard.
The rear view camera only
serves to assist the driver. It does not replace
looking over your shoulder.
While its display is generally accurate, objects
can be distorted in size, proportion, and depth
of field when seen through the rear view
camera.
The camera view does not cover the complete
area behind the vehicle.

area behind the vehicle.
