3.4.19 STOP GATE
ASSEMBLIES
It is most important that the stop gate is parallel to the clinchers.
1. Set the machine to A3 or 11”x17”.
2. Install interlock cheater.
3. Enter service mode, solenoids and activate SOL4.
4. Unhook the spring [A] and move both paper guides [B] 15 mm apart (
x1 ).
5. Enter service mode, motors.
6. Run M6 Cycle1 or Cycle2 so the two screws [C] become visible through the
paper path.
7. Insert two sheets of A3 or 11”x17” paper in the stapling area.
8. Ensure that the sheets are perfectly aligned to the stop gate.
9. Run M5 Cycle1 to get two staples into the sheets.
10. Remove the sheets and measure the distance from the staple to the lead edge
of the sheets.
11. If the difference is more than 0.3 mm the stop gate must be adjusted.
Adjustment
1. Loosen the two screws [C] and turn the stop gate slightly and tight the screws ( x2 ).
2. Repeat step 7 to 10.
CAUTION
Move back the side guides back to centre position and sequre with the spring.
